Welcome and About the Course
The online Clinical Issues in HIV Medicine course was developed based on articles published in HIVMA's annual compendium of HIV-related articles published in
Clinical Infectious Diseases. This course is designed to increase the knowledge of practicing HIV physicians on issues related to the delivery of quality HIV care and covers the following topics:
- psychotropic medications and HIV disease;
- androgen levels in older men with HIV and at risk for HIV disease;
- the cost effectiveness of resistance testing;
- bone disease and HIV disease; and
- nutrition and HIV disease.
Target Audience
This CME activity is directed at clinicians whose primary focus is treating patients with HIV disease. Participants should have solid knowledge of HIV treatment and experience using antiretroviral therapy.
Credit Designation Statement
IDSA designates this educational activity for a maximum of 5 hrs AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s). This is based on the estimated time for completion. Physicians should claim only those hours of credit that they actually spent on the educational activity.
